A gentle breeze can move a mountain,
Over the course of a thousand years.
A raging river tears at it's banks,
Altering it's course in a matter of weeks.
Change is not only possible,
It is inevitable.
But can a person change?
Some say no. A leopard cannot change it's spots.
One can't teach an old dog new tricks.
But for good or bad, perhaps both at once,
I believe we change ourselves everyday.
And as I come to yet another fork in the road of my life,
I will again choose the same path.
Only this time with hope that it leads
Not towards destruction and chaos,
But change.
